Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be the developer responsible for the core technology supporting the Hexight product. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing production-grade, Enterprise-ready software solutions.
- Taking tasks from early design stages to production release and support.
- Working closely with Data Science and Algorithms teams to help realize complex computational tasks.
- Working closely with Product and Frontend to support client-facing features.
- Constantly improving the software environment and infrastructure .
- Validating colleague code via design reviews and PRs.
- Staying up to date on the latest advancements in our tech stack, and applying them.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who meets the following qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science (CS), Electrical Engineering (EE), or a similar field.
- Experience: 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong expertise in Python programming.
- Experience with cloud computing infrastructure.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Ability to learn quickly, including cutting edge technologies and research.
Advantages

- Specific experience with AWS computing infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with web development, including API design.
- Experience working with big data and relevant tools.
- Experience with implementing complex algorithms in software, such as optimization problems.
- Experience working with ML or Data Science teams.
